For Velvet Heat, Solea presented a ten-minute performance built as a journey from vulnerability to liberation.The show opened in an intimate, almost dreamlike world — a childhood photograph, a beloved plush toy, a moment of sleep interrupted by thunder. From there, the performance shifted. Solea disappeared, transformed, and returned to the stage as the energy changed completely.What began as something deeply personal grew into a celebration of survival, freedom and connection. The performance moved beyond the stage and into the audience, before bringing members of the crowd back onstage for its final moments.At the centre of the look was one of the night’s statement pieces: Solea’s oversized hat, entirely handmade by the artist over several days.A performance created, crafted and brought to life by Solea — from the story to the stage.
